2021 BCSPL SPRING SEASON UPDATE
During this very difficult time for all involved in youth sports, the BCSPL and its Clubs are actively working behind the scenes to plan for a spring season of play.
The tentative plan aims to kick off the league for the Lower Mainland Clubs on the March 6-7 weekend and with both Thompson Okanagan FC and Vancouver Island Wave joining the competition outlet on April 17-18. However this can only take place if it falls within the current Provincial Health Orders in place at that time. While the League has built out a possible 13 weekends of scheduled play in the spring period, the League will eliminate the front loaded weekends one by one if it is clear that these games can’t be played within 2 weeks of those dates, noting the PHO in place at that time. The Provincial Premier Cup has yet to be confirmed if it will go ahead for 2021, but if it is achievable the tentative plan is for the Premier Cup to take place by the second week of June.
The league and its clubs fully support the PHO and all are actively supportive of a return to play for our youth as soon as and as responsibly possible.
